Hello everyone

We want to use the Open Source Software Collection, V5.1B for hp Tru64
UNIX. The box where I installed the rpm-binaries (RPM version 3.0.2)
from CD-ROM is an AlphaServer DS10 with 256MB RAM.
The Compaq Tru64 UNIX P5.1B (Rev. 173) is recently installed and I have
applied following patches:

t64v51bb1-c0003900-16874-es-20030211
t64v51bb1as0001-20021229
t64v51bb1-c0003000-16672-e-20030130
t64v51bb1-c0002700-16642-es-20030129
t64v51bb1-c0006700-17362-es-20030313
t64v51bb1-c0008000-17812-es-20030403

After I had setup the rpm-binaries with "/mnt/SETUP/RPM-init.ksh" I
tried to install the supplied zlib-package with rpm-command itself.
This add up to the following poorly output:

# /usr/local/bin/rpm -ihvv /mnt/RPMS/alpha/zlib-1.1.4-5.alpha.rpm

Memory fault

Do you have any advice how I can solve the problem or some hints to
isolate why this memory fault occurs?

Many Thanks

Robert
