Thanks to "Romani, Roberto" (HP) and
"Wakeman, Lindsay" (British Library) for their quick responses:

---------- Original Question ----------

IS there a limit on the number of filesets per filedomain
in AdvFS? (We'dd like to create a filedomain with 12-15 filesets).
Couldn't find any upper limit in the man page or operating
system docs.

---------- Answer ----------
Paul,

Tru64 Unix v5.1b can mount 232-1 filesets and file domains.
This was found in the software product description, which is available from www.tru64.com

---------- Answer ----------

Here's a quote from Tru64 UNIX Filesystem Administration Handbook
(Hancock):

" You can create an unlimited number of filesets per system; however, the
maximum number of filesets you can mount is limited to 512.
The more filesets that you establish, the greater your flexibility. On the
other hand, a greater number of filesets increases your management
overhead."
