All,
I am running Tru64 4.0G and having trouble starting ntp. After configuring
/etc/ntp.conf, I ran "/usr/sbin/xntpd start", and it looked as though ntp
was started (I got the "Network Time Service started" message). But, there
were no ntp processes running. After some investigation, I looked in the
/var/adm/syslog.dated/15-Apr-13:31/daemon.log file and found the following
messages:
      xntpd[6778]: xntpd version = 3.4x
xntpd[6778]: Clock init couldn't find kernel object file
What does this mean and how can I fix it?
Thanks in advance!!
