Dear UNIX friends!!!
I just installed Tru64 UNIX ver. 5.1A on a ES40 system (w/ firmware
ver.6.3) . This machine is attached to a StorageWorks cabinet with dual
redundant HSZ70 controllers and full of 18GB disks. I defined 4 raidsets
(10 disks ea.), 2 stripesets (4 & 2 disks) plus 2 disks as spare. From
the chevron prompt, it detected all StorageWorks devices, but from the UNIX
level it detects only one of the HSZ devices. This device can not be
disklabeled or anything. I tried rebuilding the kernel, rescanning my
hardware (hwmgr command) and it didn't work. Even if I try to reinstall
the OS and use customize installation, it will just show only one HSZ
device. Do you think that this is associated with the device Units defined
on the StorageWorks (D100 to D105)? Any ideas?
