Admins,

        I have a GS160 running Tru64 5.1 pk 5 and I was checking parameters
yesterday and found that my proc: round_robin_switch_rate = 26. It is my
understanding that the Time_Quantum = hz / round_robin_switch_rate which
would give each process 38.46 milliseconds of processor time. After asking
my collegues none could remember changing the round_robin_switch_rate from 0
to 26. Could anyone give me any pointers as to possible cenarios where
changing this parameter from 0 would be to an advantage? Is this parameters
value dependent on other parameters being set? I will summarize.

TIA,
