Hi all,
We have recently received Alphaserver DS10 (1GB Mem & 36.4 GB*2
Disks)with Tru64Unix version 5.1B pre-installed.
Since we required Tru64Unix 5.1A with Patch Kit 3, So I re-installed
fresh Tru64Unix 5.1A on the same disk. Installation was successfully
completed but unfortunately system is not booting fully. i.e.-comes to
single user mode with only root partition mounted.
Before this following messages are displayed in the console:
Dsfmgr: error: reading local line 3
V1.1 P 5.1B (rev 173) Tuesday May 2003
Dsfmgr:error: can not open & read file /etc/dfsc.dat: bad status file

Please correct the problem and continue or reboot

I hope this problem is not related to the minimum required version of
Tru64Unix 5.1B for this Alphaserver DS10.
Please advise.
Thanks & regards.
