Hello managers...
I am sure my name is looking familiar by now from the DS20 episode (which was scrap).

I am trying to boot an ES40 with a KZPCC-CE 3 channel controller cards. It has 2 buses with 4-18.G drives on each. I have configured a RAID-5 with the four drives on bus 0 and left the others as HSP on bus 1. I have built the raid using SMOR. Everything looks fine within SMOR.

I downgraded the firmware to V6.0 after finding that suggestion on the web with someone who had similiar problems.

When I try to boot to a TRU64 v5.1a OS CD to do an install it hangs at

ata0 ACER M1543C

I had these problems yesterday and I moved the SCSI cables to different channel of the card and I go different results. I was able to boot to the CD but the OS did not complete and then the system hung at

scsi 0

At one point the operating system resumed configuring... as if it had been hung in memory.

Any suggestions on how to clear this ata0 error.

I thank you again.

Jane
