hi all :
Many thank you for those who gave suggestions :
Look like using "ls" and "xargs" solved my problem since i am looking
for one-line solution.
ls -l |grep 20030620 -> this command worked
But the rule of thumb is to organized those files into sub-directories
as suggested by Tim Cutts and Joerg Bruehe.
I will keep the option of changing and kernel recompilation as last
resort.
Thanks again !
cheers
