Hi,
The solution is to put
+ +
in /etc/hosts.equiv and additionally make sure that there's a 'ptys'
line in /etc/securettys
Thanks to everybody who replied to my question.
And yes: I know the security implications of that.

Subject: Unrestricted rsh/rlogin ..
Hi,
I have troubles getting unrestricted rsh/rlogin under Tru64 4.0g
going. We want any user to be allowed to rsh/rlogin from any host.
I've put "+" in /etc/hosts.equiv and "+" in /root/.rhosts where
/root/.rhosts is additionally set to chmod 400.
Now only root can rlogin to root or any user can rlogin to the same
user but "rlogin -l root machine" from another user account is not
possible.
Any ideas?
Thanks // Tom
