XCR_ERROR

Hi Guru's!

Weird problem, hope you can help me. Ive got a DS20E with an RA230
(Mylex DAC960) raid-controller, three channels.
On two channels Ive got an old 6 disks SBB-pedestal.

A scsi-controller connects the 4-drive diskcage inside the DS20E, where
the system (5.1a PK3) is installed on a single disk.

What I wanted was to utilize the third channel on the Mylex, and install
unix on hw-raid 1. So I install another disk inside the DS20E, cable the
4-drive diskcage to the Mylex-controller, runs ra200rcu from the
ARC-console and makes a new diskgroup. Everything works fine...

...until I try to boot from the OS CD (still, 5.1a)...then I get an
XCR_ERROR, and the installationprocess cant see any disks and halts the
installation.

If I remove the cable to the 4-drive diskcage from the raid-controller
everything works fine...though I then have to install the OS on the
single scsi-disk in the 4-drive diskcage.

Any ideas would be appriciated.

Thanx in advance and lots of greetings
Danny Petterson
