I got very helpful replies from Richard Mollel, Martin Rønde Andersen
and Alan Rollow. I learnt that I could try to get the drive back
on-line by first power cycling it and then scan the bus with
scu scan edt
This worked. The reason for the failure is not clear yet, however.
I have exchanged the SCSI cable, but since there was another failure
after this the cable is probably not be the reason. I believe more
in Martin's idea that I got some bad tapes. Time will show, I hope.
Thanks for the helpful suggestions,
Bjorn
