alphastation 255 with digital unix 3.2D can't start

Hello,

I have a problem with running my computer in graphical mode. When I boot
it, it starts and comes to the place where you should enter your login,
i.e. it writes "login:" and then it goes off, before even I write
anything. A monitor goes standby, nothing happens, a computer stops
responding completely. Even a keyboard stops responding. I'm not sure what
should I do, how could I fix this? Maybe somenone has experienced
something similar and could help me too?
