Raid Disks ES40

Dear Managers,
I have an ES40 system Model 2, 2 CPU 667MHz, 2 GB mem, KZPCM (Dual SCSI
+ 10/100 NIC card) connected to two BA35X enclosures hosting 8 drives
each
The system is running OpenVMS 7.3-1

Now my management requested that this system will be wiped off and to
install Unix on it (Probably V5.1), they are going to put oracle on the
disks and they need it raided.
My question is: Is there anyway that I can raid the disks using the
above configuration, or there is something else I have to add to
achieve the raid environment??

I have researched and please tell me if I am right or wrong.
In order to raid the SCSI drives under Tru64 Unix, I have to use a RAID
array 230/Plus (KZPAC) card with 2 channels (1 for each BA35x
enclosure), and use the raid configuration utility floppy to configure
the raid before booting Unix, as if I am using something like the SWXCR
management.

Is this correct or I will need something else??
And which version of UNIX is most stable now?, I have 5.1, 5.1A and
5.1B available with me?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.....Thanks

-Mohamed
