Answers:

1000 = 1000 Mps Ethernet half-duplex
2000 = 1000 Mps Ethernet full-duplex

and a suggestion:

I'd rather guess 1000/2000, and I'd use the lan_config command
in /etc/inet.local to set speed/fdx instead of ifconfig.

Thanks to Vernon Russ and Johan Brusche.

ORIGINAL QUESTION
================

Hi,

We're installing a 1 gigabit NIC tonight -- anybody know off-hand what the
ifconfig 'speed' setting is for 1 gig full-duplex? It's currently set to a
speed of 200 (100 megabit full-duplex). If I had to guess (which I don't
want to) it would be 400 (300 for 1 gig hdx?).
