Dear Manager,
Having experienced a job limit above max I just wonder
where this value might be adjusted?
>From /var/adm/cron/log there is a lot of lines like this:
MAXRUN (25) procs reached Fri Oct 17 22:00:00 2003
rescheduling a cron job Fri Oct 17 22:00:00 2003
I cannot find anything about this value in "man cron|tab"
A restart of cron seem to have killed jobs in queue/not finished.
Do any of you routinely check this file for errors?
- How?
(e.g automated system monitoring may be done by swatch,
http://www.komar.org/pres/swatch/)
As I can figure out this has nothing to do with values of
/etc/sysconfigtab:
storebror# grep -i proc /etc/sysconfigtab
proc:
max_proc_per_user=256
per_proc_stack_size=4398046511104
max_per_proc_stack_size=4398046511104
per_proc_data_size=4398046511104
max_per_proc_data_size=4398046511104
max_per_proc_address_space=4398046511104
per_proc_address_space=4398046511104
