Hi managers,
Today after a power cut, one of our DEC 3000 Model 600 (Flamingo)
did not restart and the POST memory check fails with:
System Conduction Power on Tests
...
MEM ?? 809 0080 128MB
>>> test mem
T-STS-MEM - Cell Test: Addr 00200000 FWD Rd AAAAAAAA Wr 55555555
MCHK ID: 88 Logout Frame Address: 00108060
...
? T-ERR-MEM - MCHK Reading Addr = 003EE540
? T-ERR-MEM - bad page = 1F7
T-STS-MEM - Uncorrected Error count = 1
T-STS-MEM - Total Pages = 4000 Tested Pages = 4000 Bad Pages = 2
? T-ERR-MEM - FAILED Status = 80 Test cell addr = 00300540
?? 809 MEM 0x0080
84 FAIL
Searching the internet shows that 809 is the FRU code and
that it is of the form 8xy with x the bank number and y the module
number.
But swapping the memory modules does *not* make the code change: it
remains 809.
Has anyone seen/fixed a problem like this?
Thanks in advance,
