Most of the answers pointed
1. to have one SPM (License for Additional CPU).
2. Precautions with regard to static when adding CPU.
3. New CPU's version which should match the one system already have.
I could successfully add 2nd CPU to ES40. Added new CPU, then boot the
system in single user mode. Ran lmf register to add the license.
Then booted system into single user mode.
As there was additional power supply connected to the system, I could add
3rd and 4th CPU also to the system in the same way.
Original Question :
We have planned to insert 2nd CPU on ES40 system having one processor (EV6
500 Mhz).
The second CPU part no. is 54-30158-A3.
We have gone thru the Read Me note of New CPU.
This just says about the minimum Firmware version and nothing else.
I wanted to know, if there are any steps we should do as part of the
precautions also your expert comments on the steps.
If you can point me to some doc, which I should read before this, it would
be a great help.
