I'm not sure when or how this problem started, but I have a user set
to run csh and he is getting kshrc instead.
His password entry is:
ix:blah_blah_blah:70:70:instruments account:/sunquest/sqi:/bin/csh
/bin/csh is listed in /etc/shells and the program is there. This
account runs correctly on another identical machine, and I I haven't been
able to spot the difference between the two machines. Every file that I
check has same size, time and permissions.
If I login as ix, or su - ix, he is running ksh. If I have him run
/bin/csh manually, he can run it and it sources his .cshrc and sets up his
environment correctly.
I'm puzzled. Any ideas on why this user can't run csh?
thanks
