Proc stack hard limit

Im running Tru64 5.1b and am getting the following error when running a
program called poseidon.

%DECthreads bugcheck (version V3.20-033), terminating execution.
% Reason: stkGet: proc stack hard limit too low for initialization
% Running on OSF1 V5.1(2650) on AlphaServer ES40, 2048Mb; 2 CPUs, pid 11657


I tried doubling the max_per_proc_stack_size as I read in the archives
that the hard limit pertained to that variable but it didnt help.
Before increasing it again I would like to get input from you guys first
rather than just doing the trial and error routine. BTW...I did reboot
after increasing that limit :-)
