We recently upgraded one of our Alphas to Tru64 version 5.1B. Since then I
can 'rsh' to the box but, if I try to 'rsh' with a command ('rsh xyz ls'),
it hangs and eventually returns the error "socket: protocol failure in
circuit setup." This error only happens when using rsh across our firewall
but there are no restrictions in the access control for this box and it
_does_ work across the firewall for other Alpha boxes. The machine in
question will respond if the command is executed on another machine on the
same side of the firewall. This had worked for us right up until we did
the 5.1B upgrade (from 4.0G) so that pretty much rules the firewall out.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
