Thanks to Stephen Carpenter I was able to solve the problem by zeroing the
label and then recreating the file parititon:
disklabel -z dsk12c

Subject: Disklabelling problem
Hi Managers
I have an ES40 running Tru64 v5.1
I also have a KZPCC Controller with 10 drives.
I created 5 Raid 1 sets with these drives.
When labelling the disks in Tru64, the first 4 was fine.
However, the 5th drive set refused to be labelled giving the following
error:
Disklabel error while creating label. The following error(s) occured:
partition c partition extends past end of unit
partition g partition extends past end of unit
partition h: offset past end of unit
partition h partition extends past end of unit
disklabel: error: replacement label is invalid
while executing
"exec /sbin/disklabel -R dsk12 /tmp/dlprotodiskparms1hbuNmH1"
invoked from within
"catch "exec /sbin/disklabel -R $tflag $namec $temp_file $dtype""
Note that I have only selected a c partition but it still tells me
errors
referring to the oversizes of the other partitions.
Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance.
