Hi , I just read the thread about "Big Page Asser Failure" and I'd like to
have
more info about this Pb .
In fact , I tried to set vm_bigpg_enabled to 1 to improve
performance on an ES45 ( 5.1B PK3 ) with a large database .
The big page Pb is present for all alphaservers or just GS series/EV7 ?
Do I need to set vm_bigpg_enabled to 0 to avoid any Pb ?
any info about this is welcome .
TIA , Reg/

Hi!
Thanks to Martin Pedter for a quick and straightforward answer:
PK3 breaks bigpage.
Turn it off :)
That is PK3 for V5.1B. I have now turned of bigpage (vm_bigpg_enabled 0)
and
keep my fingers crossed.
Maybe HP could post a notice about this on the Technical Updates for Patch
Kits website?
Best,
Hans
