System recommendation

Mostly hardware related question with enough Unix so I don't violate
group rules!

I have an Alphaserver 1200 running Tru64 Unix 5.1 with a small
application that has become pretty important. It has two mylex
controllers with internal drive space roughly 70 gb. Cpu usage 10-12%,
low memory utilization and hardly any swapping. 2 cpus with a gb of
memory.

We would like to increase the availability of this machine by clustering
it or getting two new machines. The one issue I see with clustering it
is that the drives are internal. I have no experience with Tru64
clustering although I have done VMS clustering for years. Any
recommendations on which (low end) machines you would use to do this or
if you have done this and would like to share, I would appreciate it.

I imagined maybe a couple DS10s and an MSA100 (mini san) with some
storage.
