Dear Managers,

yes, this was the problem indeed!

I have reconfigured the system with a UNIX ECU diskette I got from
one of you and now both Tru64 5.1A and 5.1B install CDs work fine.
Thanks a LOT to those who have responded!

I think it's probably better not to disclose the names of those
helpful people because of the ECU program being some strangely
copyrighted material (this is why not even HP is distributing
it on the Internet) but thank you very-very much!
