dtfile: broken pipe in PipeRead

Hi tru64 managers,

I get this error in the console message
    dtfile: broken pipe in PipeRead
after successfully logged into the CDE on a Tru64 v51a machine.

I could not change to any valid folder from the File Manager window
and it's also complaining the home directory is not a valid folder
and consequently no file is displayed in the File Manager window.

I found a posting about the same problem but without a summary.
