Hello managers, I'm having an issue with a freshly built system here.

Alphaserver 1000A 5/300 running DU 4.0f Patch kit 8

System has a KZPSC raid controller, 2 channels on the internal shelf and
then one external enclosure.

The drive shelf is connected to a different UPS (battery backup unit) than
the server itself. It appears that over the weekend we lost power and the
battery backup the external enclosure is hooked to died, so when I came in
this morning all the drives in that enclosure showed amber lights like they
had failed. I'm assuming this is because of the power failure then coming
back on while the OS was up. So what I did was shutdown the system, went
and ran the Raid config utility and rebuilt all the arrays and made sure all
the drives were showing optimal again and then restarted the system.

Now the system starts coming up, detects all the devices and I get an error
about preposterous time in the TOY clock, check and reset the date and time.
And the date and time are correct if I type date at the console.

Then it continues loading and it mounts root file system, mounts two other
drives then errors back at and says starting dump and the before I can get
everything the system starts the reboot process again.

So I guess two questions, one how do I view the system/boot log if possible
from the console, and second any ideas on what else to do?

Hope I gave enough info.

PS. Unix was installed last week, patched fine and was running great for a
few days before the power issues. Also the disk that contains root /usr and
all the OS files is a RAID 1 set with 1 drive on the internal shelf in the
1000 and 1 disk in the external enclosure.
