SUMMARY: DT Messaging system could not be started

Thanks to Dr. Blinn at HP, I was able to solve my
problem.
It was solely related to /etc/hosts. My hostname was a
short name specified in the /etc/hosts, instead of
fully qualified name. As soon as I put my fully
qualified host name, the problem got resolved.
