DS20E, T64 5.1A PK6, FW 6.7, No HW kit.
I have a 3X-DE602-BB Dual RJ45 10/100 Ethernet card in
a DS20E. It is recognized by the system and works
fine. I am using both ee0 and ee1.
This card also came with the fiber Ethernet add on
daughter card. I installed this card per the
instructions that came with it, which was just to plug
it in the slots.
When I brought the system up, it was not recognized.
It did not show up on the boot sequence, or in
ifconfig.
I booted to a genvmunix and built a new kernel,
rebooted tot he new kernel, but it was still not
recognized. Show config at the SRM level sees a
device at PCI Slot 2 device 3, but there is no
description on MAC address associated with it.
All the information I've found in this card says it
has Tru64 driver support. I am at the latest firmware
(6.7). I have no additional HW kits loaded.
Has anyone gotten this card to work?
Thanks
P.S. This network card was listed as a 10/100/1000
network card in the literature that came with it, but
subsequent online searches show it as only a 10/100
card. I believe this is only a 10/100, unless someone
knows differently.
