the first summary resulted in more replies than the original post.
One thing I want to clarify:
the support for WORM drives wasn't dropped, because it never was part of the base system.
The layered product (CLC) providing support was discontinued silently and only partly (for the media changers) incorporated in the base system (as the SPD correctly states).
Nevertheless: WORM media can't be used with Tru64 V5 anymore and customers with optical jukeboxes have a problem.
