Thanks to the many who replied.
I had neglected to mention in my original post that we are running t64
v5.1a and that it is not a cluster.
General consensus was that I could safely eliminate the rsh functions by
commenting out "shell","login", and "exec" from the /etc/inedt.conf file. I
system reboot or restart of inet services would be required.
The only possible gotcha might be if the system was a member of a cluster.
I tested it on a standby system and it did indeed prevent rsh, rlogin, and rcp.

What is required to prevent all rsh, rlogins, rcp, etc from one system to
another for all users?
Can I just remove the lines in the /etc/inetd.conf file for "shell",
"login", and "exec"?
Will removing those lines have any effect on any other functions?
