I have a 667 MHz XP900/DS10 alphaserver running Tru64 5.1B that
currently has three internal ultra-2 SCSI disks (two 9.1 GB and
one 18.2 GB) attached to a KZPCA-AX PCI SCSI adapter card.
This setup works fine. However, I need more disk space, so I want
to replace one (or perhaps both) of the 9.1GB drives with larger
drives. My questions are:
- what's the max single disk size that the KZPCA-AX controller can handle?
Can it take 36.4GB disks ?
- what is the maximum total internal disk capacity on this system ?
- any suggestions for which HP/Compaq part numbers to look for ?
I also have a second PCI SCSI adapter card (KZPBA-CX) spare that
I could add in to the system, if that would help.
(BTW my understanding is that the KZPCA-AX and KZPCA-AA adapters
are essentially the same, being a Symbios SYM8952U).
Thanks for any suggestions.
Martin
