Hi Managers
I have a user who has the line:
umask 27
in his .cshrc. However, when he types umask, he gets 77. Is there any
system setting that could be over-riding the umask instruction in the
.cshrc? Once in his shell, he can adjust umask manually by typing "umask
27". There are no other umask setting in his .login. He's logging in from
a Mac OS X.
There are a few similar questions in the archive, but they all turn out to
be FTP problems or ACL problems. Mine isn't as I have:
# sysconfig -q sec acl_mode
sec:
acl_mode = disable
All suggestions as always, gratefully appreciated
Cheers
Derek
