Original question follows.
Many thanks to Tom Blinn who took the trouble to explain all the details
and background to me and who put me in touch with John Franzini,
Digital's last remaining graphics expert. Thanks as well to John who
confirmed what Tom had surmised. The second VGA port is not supported,
but it is possible to add a second graphics card and get dual screen
support that way.
