I am running sendmail version 8.11.1 on Tru64 5.1B and need some help in properly configuring a mailertable entry in sendmail.cf.
Currently sendmail is configured to deliver all messages to a local email relay. What we want to do is define two servers to which sendmail will deliver directly if the email destination is one of the servers, otherwise the message will be delivered to the local relay.
A mailertable was defined as /usr/local/etc/mailertable.db and this line was added to the /var/adm/sendmail/<hostname>.m4 file:
FEATURE('mailertable','hash -o /usr/local/etc/mailertable.db')
The sendmail.cf file was rebuilt without errors. However, any attempt to send mail gets this error:
sendmail[775248]: NOQUEUE: SYSERR(root):
> /var/adm/sendmail/sendmail.cf: line 24: fileclass: cannot open
> 'ATURE('mailertable','hash': No such file or directory
Apparently the m4 FEATURE configuration is not generating rulesets within sendmail.cf. Instead, the FEATURE command is just copied directly into sendmail.cf.
Can anyone help with the sendmail configuration to resolve this problem?
