All,

Not many responders, many thanks to Roberto Mackun and John Lanier for
their input.

RESOLUTION
==========

On the advice of our vendor, we waited for scheduled reboot. After reboot,
the disks were no longer in relocate state. Re-established the mirrorset
OK and re-syncing data currently in progress.

Best regards,

Shaun

Original question
=================

We had a power failure which affected one half of an LSM mirror. Now the
power is OK we cannot reattach the DETACHED plexes.

Command I am using to reattach;
# volplex -g rootdg att vol-dsk3h vol-dsk3h-01
lsm:volplex: ERROR: Volume vol-dsk3h, plex vol-dsk3h-01, block 0: Plex
write:
        Error: Write failure
lsm:volplex: ERROR: sd dsk3h-01 in plex vol-dsk3h-01 failed during attach
lsm:volplex: ERROR: I/O error on plex vol-dsk3h-01, not attached to volume
vol-d
sk3h

How can we get these plexes reattached ? What does subdisk mode of
RELOCATE (RLOC) mean?

All pointers appreciated.

RESPONSES
=========

Roberto Mackun;

I would check the binary.errlog for any traces of a HDD failure or
errors. I suspect write failures and I/O errors are indicative of a HDD
problem.

John Lanier;
May want to try:
#volmend fix clean plex_name
..on all the plexes that are detached/stale.
