Hello Admin Wizards,

as mentioned earlier I got a DEC Alpha 8200 and am going to run it w/
true64 (if I manage to handle the firmware update procedure ;o) )

Now the system is basically working. The 8200 contains one KFE72 adapter
box that contains the SIO module in slot 0, the floppy disk module in
slot 2 and two raid controllers in slots 5 and 9 (both PCI slots).

Both of the controllers are correctly recognized by the system. Now I
need to reconfigure them. No problem, I thought, because the controllers
are two rock solid MYLEX DAC960LB-DB1 with whom I am familiar - I use
them in my remaining two alpha 1000 machines. So I issued

run fat:swxcrmgr.exe

from the srm prompt - and got the surprising and shocking answer:
No swxcr device found.
Initializing.

Hm.
I already browsed the LSI Webpage but could not find the DAC960LB
(amongst a number of other DAC controllers).

I would be grateful for a hint - what software could I use to
reconfigure the two controllers?

thanks for every thought on this
