Remote printing to a wireless serial printer from Tru64Unix 5.1B

We are looking to install some wireless, portable printers.
Specifically, these are the O'Neil 4t thermal printers. When I try to
set them up using the generic remote lpd, whatever I put in the remote
printer name (rp) is what is printed on the printer and it doesn't print
a test page. There doesn't appear to be a remote printer name available
for this printer. If I run the following script:

exec 3<> /dev/tcp/10.110.50.40/515
print 'test' >&3

it will print "test" or anything else between the quotes just fine. Can
someone provide some guidance on how I can apply the aforementioned
information (or another idea) to set this printer up in the printer
configuration on the Tru64 server?
