Removing stranded swapvol plexes from LSM

G'day. We had to replace the primary root disk in a mirrored
configuration today, because it failed. This is on a Tru64 v5.1A system,
with PK6. Our procedures from the LSM manual did not really work,
because we were never able to disassociate the swapvol plex. The system
wouldn't let us - error is:

lsm:volplex: ERROR: Enabled Volume swapvol would be left with no active
restricted plexes, violating swap usage type.

We finally were able to work around this and re-mirror the remaining
half of the root mirror to a replacement disk, but are left with two
swap plexes that won't go away, when you try to use the command:

volplex -g rootdg dis swapvol-0[n]

(even while applying "force" via options) you get the above error.

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of these stranded plexes? They do not
have subdisks associated with them, but they remain part of swapvol
volume.
