Managers,
I've got a server room which since I've put in some extra servers the existing air con units are overloading when everything is switched on. In an effort to try and come up with the correct replacement air con units I've had a look at the ES40 owners guide and found the following:-
Heat dissipation Nominal Maximum
Tower and Rack 900 w, 3074 BTU/hr 1300 w, 4440 BTU/hr
Pedestal 1480 w, 5054 BTU/hr 2400 w, 8196 BTU/hr
H9A10/H9A15 Config-dependent 4800 w, 16392 BTU/hr
Now I basically have a small rack with comms equipment, 3 ES40 servers spread over 2 H9A10 Cabinets with a fibre SAN (4 shelves - 1 HSG80 controller shelf and the remainder 3 shelves fully loaded with disks) and a LTO2 tape loader.
Can anybody tell me if the above 4800 w output is for a H9A10 Cab loaded with either 1 or 4 ES40's? I'm looking at getting 2 Mitsubishi air con units capable of MAX 9500 w and am concerned that it may not be enough.
Cheers
Andy
