The SGI System-Id

Information |
Introduction
Every SGI out there has a unique system identifier, something
like Intel's CPU serial number. From time to time you might need
to know this id of your SGI box, at the latest when you want to
register your system at support.sgi.com,
but how can you find out?
Getting the System Id
In order to get your system identifier, simply type "sysinfo
--v", and the second hexadecimal number displayed
is the famous system identifier.
