Removing NFS Mounts
General
Information |
Introduction
Another problem with used SGIs with an old IRIX installation
is (besides the root-password)
that some boxes need an unusual long time to boot. This may indicate
that the machine formerly was member of a NIS domain and tries
to mount some NFS directories. This page will explain how to get
rid of these directories.
Removing NFS Directories
All mountable filesystems are recorded in /etc/fstab,
so you only have to remove all NFS entries there.
