No more trolling around to get the basics done with Outlook Express. Right from the get-go, you're just one click away from composing a new message, reading your mail, or opening the address book -- leaving you more time to get creative in your e-mail.

To compose a new message:

  1. On the Start menu, point to Programs, and then click Outlook Express.
  2. Click New Mail.
  3. In the To: line, enter the e-mail address of the intended recipient.
  4. Write your message.
  5. Click Send.
