Choosing how often to check for new
mail
It's up to you how often Outlook Express checks for e-mail while
you are connected to the Internet. You can choose to check for new
mail as often as you like -- even once a minute.
Here's how:
- On the Tools menu in Outlook Express, click Options.
- On the General tab, make sure Check for new messages every is selected.
- Specify the number of minutes that you
want.
Note: If you clear the check box,
Outlook Express will not check for new messages automatically. It
will check only when you select Check for new
messages on the Tools menu.
