I have a rather interesting problem with our 4720. We have 24 rz28's on four
separate scsi buses. / and /usr just use UFS and we use AdvFS for the rest of
our system.
Each volume within the AdvFS is a pair of rz28's running under LSM in their own
disk group. These two disks each run as a mirrored pair. This all works well.
However, since the upgrade to OSF/1 V3.0 every reboot of the system causes all
the mirrored pairs to start copying - as if the mirrors have become out of date.
Apart from the obvious i/o load for a few hours there are no other consequences.
No matter how "nice" a shutdown I perform - the copying still goes ahead.
Under OSF/1 V2.1 this did not occur.
Any thoughts? I haven't logged this with DEC yet, but I will unless someone here
manages to think of a solution.
