The "/: write failed, file system is full" is because restore is trying to
write a file in /tmp and it's running out of space. You are probably
trying this restore booted off the cd (with it's tiny memory disk); if so,
boot your newly-restored root partition and use that system to restore - /tmp
should be big enough unless you have a large number of files to restore. In
THAT case, mount a partition onto /tmp to give restore some space to work
with.
