Hi Folks,
ANY IDEAS ? ... I got this terse message out of an alpha:
  /usr/lib/cmplrs/cc/cfe: ERROR MESSAGE 5ERROR MESSAGE 69 (ERROR MESSAGE 69)
strings /usr/lib/cmplrs/cc/cfe | grep "ERROR MESSAGE"
reports:
  ERROR MESSAGE %d
  man cfe:
No manual entry found for cfe.
  man cmplrs
No manual entry found for cmplrs.
  man cc:
        /usr/lib/cmplrs/cc/cfe
            C front end
I tried cd /usr/src ...
but that luxury appears denied (makes me appreciate my FreeBSD box ;-).
The lines preceeding the error were:
  make -i depend
  depending in ./config...
  depending in config/cf...
  depending in config/imake...
checking ../../config/makedepend/makedepend over in ../../config/makedepend first...
  cc -O -std1 -I../../config/imake -I../.. -c include.c
  rm -f main.o
  cc -c -O -std1 -I../../config/imake -I../.. -DINCLUDEDIR=\"/usr/include\" -DOBJSUFFIX=\".o\" main.c
Environment of resim.regent.e-technik.tu-muenchen.de
        uname -a
        OSF1 resim V2.1 250 alpha
I see I have /usr/local/bin/gcc-2.4.5, so i might try that,
but as I'm compiling all X11R6/xc (except server) I guess the cc to gcc
change might not be trivial.
PS please CC any reply to jhs_at_regent.e-technik.tu-muenchen.de
(which is what I've set my Reply-To: field to),
as I'm not on mail list alpha-osf-managers_at_ornl.gov, Thanks :-)
All ideas & hints welcome (RTFM pointers too :-)	Thanks.
