1- First read the man page for ftpd (of course !! But I didn't thought to read
them . Mea culpa)
2- you can read the FAQ that are in the newsgroup comp.unix.admin
3- You can also take a good ftpd (wu-ftpd) on the machine wuarchive.wustl.edu
in the area /packages/wuarchive-ftpd/wu-ftpd-2.4.tar.Z
