Hi, managers!
Failing to setting up pop server (post office protocol). included in our
alpha 3000 whit OSF/1 v1.2.
Following this steps.
1.-We add new account named pop whit /var/spool/pop as home directory.
2.-We create a file named POP whit as pop database whit /var/spool/pop
as home directory.
then we add an entry in to POP file in the following format.
jgaona::jgaona:encrypted password::::::0.
3.-Running popaka produces a string.
jgaona: jgaona_at_pop.
4.-Edit aliases file and add string jgaona: jgaona_at_pop.
5.-Run newaliases.
6.-run popd -p 110 > /tmp/null & and produces.
[7] options=0x0 port=110
Eudora 1.4.4 software used in pc's is already running ok.
We test and telnet pop server to port 110
%telnet alpha1.sal.uadec.mx 110
trying...
connected to alpha1.sal.uadec.mx.
Escape character is ' `]' .
+OK alpha1.sal.uadec.mx POP server ready comments to:post
master_at_alpha1.sal.uadec.mx.
user 'jgaona'
+OK password required for 'jgaona'
pass (password).
+OK maildrop empty.
When i send a mail to pop data base user, nothing gets put in the
expected /usr/spool/pop/jgaona file. i run ´"mailq" to check on if
it's stuck, and get the following.

(operating system error)
jgaona_at_pop
We need advice and clues about this:
1.- POP data base user failing to get or receive mail.
2.-Pc's users can' t pickup mail.
