It must be a slow day - I got a lot of responses on this one:
My original question:
>I upgraded to osf v3.2 on my 3000/300x a few weeks back, and
>thought I had picked up most of the problems, but this one
>just caught me yesterday.
>When I try to select the year option from the view menu
>on dxcalendar, the whole thing folds up and disappears.
>I tried it on a non-upgraded machine, it worked fine. I upgraded
>the machine, and suddenly the year view was a non-option again.
>Is it just me? Has anyone else had this problem?
I got several "me too" responses, and an explanation from that fount of
wisdom, Dr. Tom Blinn.
To paraphrase Dr. Blinn:
It's a bug.
DECwindows Calendar is slotted to be replaced by a new application, as
part of the Common Desktop Environment deployment in a future release.
Therefore, the bug in dxcalendar may never get fixed.
end paraphrase.
He suggested I call technical support and formally file a problem report.
This isn't all that big of a priority for me, so I'm just going to live
with it, I think.
Thanks to all who responded:
