Thanks for all the replies! I got several answers to why
mount -t cdfs /dev/rz4c /cdrom
wasn't working, and just about all of them informed me that the line
options CDFS
MUST be included in the kernel to use this mount option. Including
this option in the /sys/conf/HOSTNAME (where HOSTNAME is the
hostname of the system) and rebuilding the kernel with the command
"doconfig -c HOSTNAME".
Several folks noted along with their replies asked the same question
I was thinking: WHY is this not included by DEFAULT, especially since
both the CSLG CD-ROM (educational licenses disk) from DEC and the
Motif CD from OSF require the CDFS support to mount! This IS an OSF
operating system running on a DEC machine is it not? :)
Oh well, at least it is EASY to correct! You folks who respond on this
list are the greatest!
